From Head to Toe: The Best HYROX Clothing and Accessories to Enhance Your Race

Remember that you can listen to the podcast!

HYROX, the global fitness race, is not your average competition. It’s a demanding fusion of running and functional exercises, putting your endurance and strength to the ultimate test. To conquer this challenge, your gear is as crucial as your grit.

This brief article will guide you through the best clothing options for each HYROX station, ensuring your comfort and peak performance!

Let’s break down the optimal clothing for each station:

1. 1km Run:

  • Trainers: Prioritize lightweight build, robust arch support, breathable material, enhanced grip, and optimal cushioning. Puma Deviate Nitro series are specifically designed for HYROX, offering comfort and support for both running and functional movements.
  • Sports Watch: A sports watch like the Garmin Fenix 7 tracks your pace and heart rate, helping you strategize your race. I personally prefer lighter watches than Fenix, for example I choose Garmin 965 over Fenix 7 despite it seems less premium.
  • Headband: Keep sweat out of your eyes with a comfortable, sweat-wicking headband like the Rogue Headbands. But don’t get me wrong, they don’t need to be Rogue.
  • Shorts: Opt for sweat-wicking, breathable shorts that are designed for comfort and freedom of movement.

2. 1000m Ski Erg:

  • Headband: Crucial for managing sweat and maintaining focus.
  • Wristbands: Absorb sweat, provide wrist support, and enhance grip. Rogue Wristbands are a good option, offering comfort and support.

3. 4 x 12.5m Sled Push:

  • Trainers: Shoes with excellent grip are essential for powerful pushes.
  • Wristbands: Offer additional wrist support during the pushing motion.

4. 4 x 12.5m Sled Pull:

  • Gloves: Essential for maintaining a strong grip and preventing blisters.
  • Trainers: Good grip is crucial to avoid slipping.
  • Wristbands: Provide support and absorb sweat, keeping your grip firm.

5. 80m Burpee Broad Jump:

  • Trainers: Supportive and stable trainers are vital for safe landings and explosive jumps.
  • Wristbands: Provide wrist support during the burpee motion.
  • Shorts: Flexible and comfortable shorts will allow for a full range of motion.

6. 1000m Row:

  • Gloves: Protect your hands from blisters and ensure a firm grip on the handle.
  • Headband: Keep sweat at bay for optimal focus.

7. 200m Kettlebell Farmers Carry:

  • Gloves: Provide grip and protection, crucial for securely carrying the kettlebells.
  • Trainers: Stability is key for maintaining balance during the carry.
  • Wristbands: Offer support and absorb sweat, ensuring a firm grip.
  • Headband: Manage sweat for clear vision and focus.

8. 100m Sandbag Lunges:
